Abstract
La proposition d’un « commun » multidimensionnel, qui comprend à la fois des pratiques collectives, des décisions politiques et des réflexions théoriques, souhaite dégager une « troisième voie », à distance tant du marché que de l’État, qui, dans la perspective de ses promoteurs, permettrait de restaurer une démocratie radicale, synonyme d’autogouvernement et d’extension des droits d’usage collectif. Cette contribution vise à remettre en question les soubassements théoriques et la viabilité pratique de cette « sociopolitique du commun » (proposée notamment dans l’ouvrage de Dardot et Laval, Commun. Essai sur la révolution au XXIe siècle), qui érige l’auto-institution en dispositif universel de la praxis associative afin de contourner les difficultés à assurer un « service public » sans recourir aux mécanismes institutionnels d’un État perçu comme vecteur de domination centralisée. À trop insister sur le « faire société » pragmatique au détriment de tout « être institué » considéré essentialiste, cette anthropologie philosophique encourt le risque de manquer le « bien commun » imaginaire et symbolique inhérent à toute communauté concrète.
