Abstract
Les Inuit du Nunavik (Arctique québécois)réclament aux gouvernements du Québec et du Canada plusd’infrastructures locales et plus de logements sociaux pourenrayer le problème de surpeuplement dans leurs villages. Ilsdemandent plus de services sociaux et de soutien psychologique pour lesaccompagner sur la voie de la guérison individuelle etcollective. Au même moment, ils tentent de sortir de ladépendance par rapport à ces gouvernements et de cheminerjusqu’à l’autonomie politique. Cet article explorecette ambigüité entre services publics et autonomie dans lavie politique du Nunavik. Par le moyen d’une analyse desrelations entre les Inuit et les gouvernements, il propose d’encerner les racines historiques et les manifestations contemporaines. Ils’intéresse enfin à la façon dont le conceptde « commun » s’articule avec le politique.
