Abstract
[cat] El mes de febrer de 1994 es va constituir l’Equip de Vellesa i Família (EVIF), assignat al Departament de Serveis Socials i Sanitat del Consell de Mallorca. Al llarg de vint-i-cinc anys ha desenvolupat una feina, pionera en el seu moment, d’intervenció comunitària de caire psicosocial i educatiu amb persones grans i familiars cuidadors de persones grans dependents, basada en els principis de la Conferència d’Alma-Ata (1978), de la Carta d’Ottawa (1986) i en les tendències sistèmiques i de treball comunitari desenvolupades al final del segle XX. Aquest article repassa breument la seva trajectòria inicial i exposa els programes que actualment duu a terme i dels quals es beneficien anualment més de dues mil persones cada any.
