Abstract
Le commerce international connaît une forte croissance, notamment sous l’impulsion des pays d’Asie. Les échanges Europe-Asie sont réalisés principalement par voie maritime. En effet, malgré la redécouverte ces dernières années des grands itinéraires terrestres comme le corridor transsibérien, les transports ferroviaires internationaux de marchandises ne représentent aujourd’hui qu’une faible part des volumes transportés. Les investissements d’infrastructure ferroviaire pour de nouveaux corridors dans l’espace eurasien, les efforts d’interopérabilité et d’harmonisation menées par les organisations intergouvernementales et les organismes de coopération ferroviaire seront-ils en mesure de renforcer la compétitivité du transport ferroviaire ?
