Abstract
À partir d’une réflexion critique du concept de disenfranchised grief (deuil non reconnu), cet article examine comment se module la (non) reconnaissance du deuil périnatal, en fonction de l’espace et du moment dans lequel elle s’inscrit. Il ressort que la reconnaissance tend à diminuer à mesure que l’on s’éloigne du moment du décès. Plus homogène dans l’espace médical, elle se déploie en demi-teintes dans les autres, diminuant à mesure que l’on passe de l’espace médical à l’espace familial et social et enfin à l’espace de travail. La (non) reconnaissance n’est donc ni monolithique, ni binaire, ni encore statique. Trois notions sont convoquées pour éclairer ces résultats : la tangibilité, les scripts sociaux et le rapport aux émotions d’autrui.
