Par leurs multiples manifestations au travers le monde, les communs nous invitent à ne jamais réduire l’Histoire politique des sociétés, des technologies et de l’environnement à un processus linéaire. Au mythe d’un progrès scandant l’irréversibilité, ils opposent la puissance de multiples prises sur le réel pour bâtir, transmettre et faire coexister des trajectoires et des récits alternatifs. La coexistence de ces récits ouvre des espaces où le statut et le rôle de l’écrit sont remis en jeu. Les auteurs proposent de faire place à ces expériences d’écriture, et d’en saisir les multiples diffractions. Il s’agira, d’une part, de révéler en quoi l’écrit transforme et diversifie le répertoire d’action des communs, leur définition-même, et l’identité de ceux et celles qui y prennent part. Et, d’autre part, de potentialiser cet espace par la réactualisation et l’hybridation des idées et des actes. En d’autres termes, de se porter « au devant de l’irréversible ».
