Abstract
Ketersediaan sumber daya alam berupa sungai di Kabupaten Malinau menjadi peluang pengembangan transportasi sungai di daerah ini. Salah satu keunggulan utama dari pemanfaatan sungai sebagai moda transportasi yaitu tidak perlunya dibangun infrastruktur baru selain dermaga bongkar muat karena tersedia secara alami.Berdasarkan hasil analisis, 56% responden menilai pelayanan Pelabuhan Penumpang Speedboat Malinau Kota sangat buruk. Terdapat kesenjangan antara harapan dan kondisi yang dirasakan responden. GAP paling terbesar yaitu variabel ketersediaan posko kesehatan di pelabuhan asal perjalanan responden. Sedangkan menurut pengamatan, hal yang perlu diperbaiki segera yaitu ponton dan tangga turun/naik ke atas kapal. Kondisi ponton dan pegangan tangan pada tangga yang berkarat dan licin saat hujan dapat membahayakan keselamatan penumpang.
