Postulant que l’antiracisme participe de l’action, qu’il est toujours un travail à mener contre une inclinaison sociale (collective ou individuelle) à construire ou à choisir une cible (sans ôter à ce phénomène ses ancrages socio-historiques, culturels et politiques précis), nous conviendrons qu’il fait en cela obstacle, qu’il est littéralement résistant : il est force à valeur intensive et contraire qui s’énonce, se montre, est transmise. Ce numéro d’Alternative francophone s’ouvre sur deux œuvres de l’artiste montréalais Stanley Février qui en donnent en quelque sorte le signal de dissonance : les deux images sont celles de moments de ruptures performées qui, par définition et conséquence, font allégorie en montrant autre chose que ce qu’elles disent, un après-coup, tout en permettant la fulgurance de ce qui est capté au présent. Cette chair, acquise par l'institution cet été 2019, est l'une des premières pièces créées par un artiste noir à entrer au Musée des beaux-arts de Québec.
