Abstract
Cet article examine l’usage du corps et le rôle du geste dans l’art performatif caribéen et plus particulièrement dans la société post-esclavagiste guadeloupéenne. Avec la techni’ka , la chorégraphe Léna Blou réinvente les gestes ordinaires hérités de l’esclavage en états de corps fondamentaux, qui subliment la contrainte somatique en créativité, et deviennent des outils d’expression socio-esthétiques déclinables à l’infini. Les parades iguanesques des performeurs Annabel Guérédrat et Henri Tauliaut donnent sens au corps vulnérable de la société antillaise. En imposant des états de corps extraordinaires dans l’espace public, ils questionnent les modes de relations racisés mis en place par le racisme colonial. L’invention d’une grammaire corporelle, régie par la contrainte somatique et le déséquilibre, réinscrit l’histoire de l’esclavage dans une stratégie mémorielle réparatrice qui dépasse un héritage historique traumatique grâce à un encodage neuf de ses legs somatiques.
