Quel est le rôle de la médiation et du medium dans les structures perceptives des êtres humains ? En refusant le cloisonnement du débat philosophique sur la phénoménologie de la perception de langue allemande des années 1920, Heider déplace le centre de la réflexion philosophique au-delà des oppositions classiques entre homme et monde, esprit et sens, sujet et objet. À travers la problématisation de la notion de médium, Heider nous amène à reconsidérer nos modalités d’appréhensions du monde, en développant une théorie phénoménologique de la médiation fondée sur le concept de milieu perceptif.
