Abstract
La politica comercial de la Union Europea ha tenido una influencia decisiva en el desarrollo de las relaciones economicas internacionales de Espana. Estas relaciones abarcan tres areas prioritarias –la Union Europea, America, tanto del Norte como America Latina, y el Mediterraneo– asi como dos areas de futuro: Asia y Africa subsahariana. Los mas de cuarenta acuerdos preferenciales de libre comercio de la UE, junto con la politica comunitaria de inversiones, han facilitado los intercambios comerciales, la inversion directa espanola y el cambio de modelo a una economia internacionalizada. En estos momentos existen diversos retos para la politica comercial de la UE que tienen incidencia directa sobre el sector exterior espanol: el Brexit, la relacion comercial con EE.UU., la consecucion del acuerdo con Mercosur, la aplicacion de los acuerdos con Canada, Singapur, Vietnam y Japon, asi como el proceso de reforma de la OMC y la negociacion de nuevos acuerdos. Este articulo analizara la interrelacion entre las relaciones economicas y comerciales de Espana y la orientacion reciente de la politica comercial comunitaria.
