Cette recherche propose d’interroger la dynamique des territoires urbains dans leur capacité à développer des formes innovantes de développement et de cohésion sociale au centre desquelles se situe la dimension culturelle. En prenant l’exemple d’une recherche-appliquée menée, depuis septembre 2017, dans le quartier de Malhourtet à Millau (Aveyron, 12), il s’agira d’étudier la manière dont une ethnologue, habitant l’espace considéré, peut participer à l’élaboration et la mise en place d’un projet culturel localisé autour des mémoires orales. Nous verrons dans quelle mesure l’approche pragmatique et impliquée de l’ethnologie permet alors d’envisager autrement la façon de penser mais aussi d’appréhender la vie culturelle, politique et sociale d’un lieu dans le temps présent. Le concept des laboratoires culturels et récréatifs décrit par le sociologue Jean Corneloup servira de cadre à la réflexion.
