Abstract
We published volume 102 of the Journal of Dairy Science in 2019 with a record number of pages (11,844; Table 1). Annual growth has averaged over 600 pages per year during the period listed. The total number of submitted papers has increased over 25% since 2015 but time to publication has not changed appreciably during this 5-year period (Table 1). Our ability to maintain a short time to publication reflects our continuing efforts to streamline and improve the entire publication pipeline. Our continued goals for 2020 are to shorten our time to publication and continue to improve the experience of our authors by providing high-quality reviews after submission, outstanding technical editing after acceptance, and high-visibility subsequent publication.
