Abstract
Proses penuaan adalah sesuatu yang akan dialami oleh setiap orang. Dengan semakin bertambahnya usia terjadi pula penurunan fungsi organ dalam tubuh salah satunya adalah fungsi kognitif. Beberapa penelitian mendapatkan adanya hubungan antara durasi tidur dengan fungsi kognitif. Untuk dapat memahami mengenai hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan penurunan fungsi kognitif pada lansia, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Penelitian menggunakan studi observasional dengan desain cross sectional yang mengikutsertakan 47 lansia penghuni panti di Jakarta Barat. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara wawancara menggunakan kuesioner yang meliputi usia, pendidikan, kebiasaan merokok, kualitas tidur, dan fungsi kognitif. Penilaian kualitas tidur dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. Penilaian fungsi kognitif dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner Montreal Cognitive Assessment yang telah divalidasi dalam bahasa Indonesia (MoCA-Ina). Analisis data menggunakan program SPSS untuk Windows versi 20.0 dan tingkat kemaknaan yang digunakan besarnya 0,05. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kualitas tidur berpengaruh terhadap fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Kualitas tidur yang buruk berkorelasi positif terhadap penurunan fungsi kognitif pada lansia(p=0.033). Pendidikan berpengaruh terhadap fungsi kognitif pada lansia, semakin rendah pendidikan semakin besar penurunan fungsi kognitif yang dialami saat usia lanjut (p=0,001). Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Kualitas tidur yang buruk berkorelasi terhadap penurunan fungsi kognitif pada lansia. Kualitas tidur pada lansia perlu ditingkatkan untuk mengurangi resiko penurunan fungsi kognitif yang lebih serius
