HUBUNGAN ANTARA UMUR LAKTASI PERTAMA DENGAN AIR SUSU SAPI PERAH FRIES HOLLAND

Abstract
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara umur laktasi pertama dengan produksi air susu sehingga dapat memberikan informasi yang penting bagi peternak dalam tatalaksana pengelolaan peternakan sapi perah di wilayah kerja KUD Karya Nugraha Kelurahan Cipari Kecamatan Cigugur Kabupaten Kuningan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja KUD Karya Nugraha Kelurahan Cipari Kecamatan Cigugur Kabupaten Kuningan selama bulan Januari 2015. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan analisis regresi hubungan antara umur pertama laktasi dengan produksi susu puncak dengan persamaan regresi Y = 4203, 451 + 53,021 x . Nilai R = 0,522 menunjukan bahwa umur laktasi pertama berpengaruh sebesar 52,2% terhadap produksi susu pada laktasi tertinggi, sedangkan yang 47,8% di pengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Analisis korelasi produksi susu laktasi pertama dengan produksi susu laktasi tertinggi sebesar 0,73 dan korelasi produksi susu laktasi pertama dengan produksi susu laktasi total sebesar 0,86. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukan bahwa produksi susu pada laktasi pertama memiliki hubungan yang nyata dengan produksi susu tertinggi pada laktasi puncak dan produksi susu total. Sapi yang menghasilkan susu terbanyak pada laktasi pertama akan menghasilkan susu tertinggi pula dalam laktasi puncak dan produksi susu total. Produksi susu seekor sapi akan terus meningkat dengan tambahnya umur sapi sampai umur 7 – 8 tahun dan setelah umur tersebut produksi susu akan menurun sampai sapi berumur 11 – 12 tahun. Tingginya pengaruh laktasi pertama terhadap produksi susu dimungkinkan karena faktor genetik yang dimiliki oleh sapi tersebut dimunculkan secara bersamaan dan berlangsung secara terus menerus dengan tata laksana pemeliharaan yang konstan dari mulai laktasi 1 sampai laktasi 8. Kuantitas produksi susu disamping dipengaruhi oleh faktor genetik, juga sangat di pengaruhi oleh faktor pemberian pakan pada saat sapi laktasi.Kata kunci : sapi perah FH, periode laktasi, air susu
