Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We are conducting a large-scale survey of the NGC 1333 star-forming cloud at high resolution with the BIMA interferometer. So far, we have covered the southern half of the cloud in the (1-0) lines of N₂H⁺ and HCO⁺, as well as 3 mm continuum emission. The N₂H⁺ emission not only allows us to study the morphology of emission in the region, but we also obtain precise velocity information, allowing us to study the region dynamically. The HCO⁺ line emission is also a good tracer of outflow activity. We find emission throughout most of the field of view in both lines. To identify individual clumps in this busy region, we have used the MIRIAD task CLUMPFIND. We have found over 100 clumps in both the N₂H⁺ and HCO⁺ lines. We report on the initial findings of our clump census in both lines.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
