Abstract
Film merupakan produk budaya yang tidak hanya sebagai hiburan di masyarakat, tetapi juga sebagai pelajaran terhadap orang di sekitar kita. Salah satu film Perancis yang dapat dijadikan sebagai pelajaran adalah film berjudul Switch karya Frederic Schonderffer. Film ini bercerita tentang seorang perancang busana yang tinggal di Kota Montreal bernama Sophie Malaterre yang sengaja dijebak dalam sebuah kasus pembunuhan oleh Benedicte Serteaux yang memiliki kepribadian Psikopat. Dalam film ini konflik pembunuhan dilatar belakangi oleh motif dendam akibat ketidak adilan yang dialami oleh Benedicte Serteaux. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui latar belakang dan manifestasi perilaku Psikopat oleh tokoh utama dalam film Switch. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori psikoanalisis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik studi pustaka serta dokumentasi sebagai metode pengumpulan data, dan teknik deskriptif dalam proses analisis data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, tokoh utama pada film Switch yaitu Benedicte Serteaux merupakan seorang psikopat jenis charismatic psychopath. Penyebab timbulnya perilaku Psikopat adalah masa lalu yang suram. Manifestasi perilaku Psikopat ada 7 yaitu tidak tanggung jawab, tidak bisa diberi kepercayaan karena ia tidak jujur, kelakuannya anti sosial, kurang mempunyai pertimbangan, tidak mempunyai rasa kasih sayang, sangat egois dan hubungannya dengan orang lain tidak hangat.
