L’animation culturelle au Québec : Une praxéologie en attente d’envol

Abstract
La reconnaissance de l’animation culturelle au Québec est intimement liée à celle de ses programmes de formation, notamment le baccalauréat en animation et recherche culturelles de l’UQAM qui en représente l’un des lieux de formation les plus importants. Traversant quelques périodes de fragilité au cours de son histoire, ce programme connait actuellement une grande popularité en termes d’inscriptions étudiantes. Entre 2006 et 2008, une maitrise en animation culturelle est projetée dans le sillon des succès du baccalauréat, mais le développement en est bloqué à la suite de réticences soulevées lors de rencontres de groupe menées auprès d’étudiants, de diplômés et d’employeurs. Comment comprendre ce non-aboutissement? En quoi ceci participe-t-il de la reconnaissance de l’animation au Québec? Cet article repose sur une analyse sommaire des propos tenus par les participants aux rencontres menées dans le cadre de la préparation du projet de maitrise et des enjeux dont ils témoignent.
