Abstract

Este estudo tem por finalidade identificar as atividades inovadoras desenvolvidas no Centro Tecnológico do Agreste (CTA) entendendo a sua relevância para o desenvolvimento do Arranjo Produtivo Local de confecção em Caruaru (PE). Para tanto, esta pesquisa teve como base os conceitos de APL e a lógica dos Capitais. Na etapa metodológica, foi realizada uma análise de conteúdo a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com duas lideranças que estão inseridas na cúpula decisória do CTA. A análise foi realizada a partir de quatro categorias de Capitais, que são: capital intelectual, capital social, capital físico e capital natural. A partir dessa categorização, estuda-se qual o papel do CTA no contexto do APL de confecção por meio dos discursos desses indivíduos. Os resultados indicam que apesar de ter um papel importante no desenvolvimento do APL, o CTA ainda tem um efeito tímido em relação à inovação das empresas da região.
