Abstract
Le present article examine la question des fondements du nationalisme par rapport au trilemme de Munchhausen, en tentant d’etablir la dimension discursive du nationalisme qui se realise idealement dans un espace public ouvert. Nous critiquons le « nationalisme ontologique » et sa fâcheuse tendance a proclamer la « deja-nation », soit une nation sans possibilite de connaissance pour les sujets, les discours individuels sur la nation etant alors immediatement bloques par une interpretation deja-vraie de la nation. Une telle interpretation de la deja-nation fait fi de la distinction entre le cadre interpretatif general qu’est le nationalisme et les propositions qui en decoulent, ces propositions etant de la seule responsabilite des individus. La nation est en fait la representation meme du pouvoir du langage, n’existant qu’a l’interieur d’un filet de sens cree par les discours nationalistes dans la sphere publique.
