Abstract
Esse artigo analisa os desafios e implicações da disjunção de duplo corpo (coletivo e individual) ocorrida na Tunísia e com os tunisianos no curso do fenômeno da migração turística que ocorreu durante a implantação da indústria do turismo no país. A reflexão dá atenção às experiências profissionais vividas por jovens tunisianos migrantes das regiões do interior que começaram a trabalhar no setor turístico da hospitalidade nas décadas de 1960 a 1990. O estudo dessas experiências ajuda a avaliar a amplitude da divisão nacional enraizada nesse fenômeno e de seus efeitos sobre os jovens, especialmente na imagem de si mesmos e de seu país. Para tal, o estudo se concentra em como eles vêem seus próprios corpos e o mundo ao redor, dadas as demandas e as condições de trabalho nas quais esses corpos tiveram que funcionar.
