Abstract
À partir d’une enquête empirique des politiques du vivant menée dans le Nord-Pas de Calais, nous proposons une analyse de sociologie politique écocentrée. L’écocentrisme holiste, et plus particulièrement la notion de « communauté écouménique » définie par Gérald Hess, permet au politiste d’analyser différemment les interdépendances entre humains et non-humains. Une confrontation de cette proposition philosophique à une enquête sociologique empirique permet de mettre en avant un processus d’euphémisation des interdépendances, conséquence directe d’un cadrage politique anthropocentré et techniciste. Les dimensions holistiques, sensibles et temporelles d’une communauté politique rassemblant humains et non-humains face à la crise écologique sont ainsi réduites par l’action publique. La notion de « communauté écouménique » met en avant la portée heuristique d’une sociologie politique écocentrée dès lors que l’on intègre la gravité de la disparition des espèces. Elle démontre les angles morts induits par une approche sociologique qui serait strictement constructiviste.
