El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la relación entre ansiedad estado/rasgo y procesos de codificación y recuperación mnésica vinculados a la capacidad de aprendizaje de estudiantes universitarios. Corresponde a un estudio realizado bajo diseño transversal y alcance correlacional. Los participantes seleccionados fueron 72 estudiantes de psicología de una universidad de la ciudad de Manizales. Se utilizó el Cuestionario de Ansiedad Estado Rasgo (STAI), el Test de Aprendizaje Auditivo Verbal de Rey (RAVLT) y la Evaluación Cognitiva Montreal (MoCA); esta última se usó para realizar control de variables. De acuerdo a los resultados, no se encontró relación entre las medidas de ansiedad estado/rasgo y procesos de codificación y recuperación mnésica. Esto puede ser explicado desde una perspectiva compleja del aprendizaje y de la ansiedad, especialmente del estado, ya que son variables que sostienen relación con procesos anímicos, motivacionales, ambientales y otros procesos cognitivos que tienen efecto en el aprendizaje y las emociones.
