Louis Marin envisage les Fables de La Fontaine ainsi que les Contes de Perrault comme des dispositifs représentatifs – et, donc, performatifs – par lesquels le faible et le marginal subvertissent les stratégies du pouvoir. À ce sujet, il repère dans la fable Le Loup et l’agneau une critique du pouvoir politique, une critique qui définit toute forme de souveraineté comme violence extra-juridique. À partir du cadre analytique marinien, le présent article cherchera à éclaircir le statut particulier du récit des fables et des contes par rapport au discours du pouvoir.
