La gestion des risques s’inscrit dans un cadre transdisciplinaire. Elle est née dans les sciences exactes puis s’est nourrie de multiples sciences avant de prendre place dans les sciences de gestion. Selon la littérature pertinente, la gestion des risques s’est révélée insuffisante sur le plan fonctionnel. Elle a fait l’objet d’un ensemble de critiques qui ont permis l’émergence de nouvelles perspectives dans le domaine. Le présent travail a pour objectif de répondre à la problématique suivante : Comment la gestion des risques a-t-elle évolué tout au long des fondements théoriques transdisciplinaires ? Pour répondre à cette problématique, il faut franchir trois grandes étapes. La première consiste à identifier les disciplines qui ont nourri et mûri le concept de gestion des risques. La deuxième étape consiste à situer la gestion des risques parmi les sciences de gestion. La troisième étape a pour objectif de porter une analyse critique de la gestion des risques et de présenter quelques perspectives et ouvertures de recherche.
