Abstract
Cet article présente les enjeux scientifiques à l’origine de la conception du projet Les Réveillées, lequel ambitionne de rendre accessibles la plupart des données multimédias (sonores, textuelles, graphiques, photographiques et filmiques) qu’il mobilise et qui sont aujourd’hui principalement conservées aux Archives nationales. Ces données, encore largement inédites, ont été réunies entre 1939 et 1983 par Claudie Marcel-Dubois et Maguy Pichonnet-Andral, deux chercheuses CNRS affectées au « musée-laboratoire » des Arts et Traditions populaires, au fil d’une démarche systématique d’enquête sur le terrain, menée en France rurale, dans les départements d’outre-mer et les territoires francophones d’Amérique du nord (Caraïbes inclues). À défaut de former un « corpus des musiques ethniques françaises » jamais publié, elles seront finalement dévoilées sur une plateforme dont la mise en ligne est prévue courant 2020.
