Abstract

Visant à envisager les (nouveaux) objets de l’écrivain à l’ère numérique, ce travail prend pour exemple le cas des deux écrivains et professeurs en création littéraire québécois, Alain Farah et Alain Beaulieu. Cette étude de leurs profils numériques démontre comment le réel, le potentiel et la fiction s’imbriquent dans les sphères publiques, privées et académiques investies par le statut d’auteur assumé par les deux écrivains. L’investissement médiatique des écrivains a pour résultat l’apparition de nouvelles formes de paratexte tout en changeant les modalités de partage entre auteur et son public. L’article suit aussi les modalités de « mise en scène du soi » en tenant compte de la citation de l’artiste allemand Joseph Beuys qu’on retrouve sur les pages sociales d’Alain Farah aussi bien que dans ses entretiens : « Je souhaiterais m’en tenir à cela aussi longtemps que ce m’est possible : jouer encore et encore ce rôle, être tout ce qu’on peut dire de moi. »
