Voici une expérience aussi exemplaire que fructueuse. Depuis 1998, le consortium interuniversitaire canadien Érudit ( erudit.org ) soutient et valorise près de 200 revues de Sciences humaines et sociales (SHS). Vingt ans plus tard, en 2018, Érudit, devenu une véritable infrastructure de recherche au service de la science ouverte, a établi un partenariat avec le consortium français Couperin pour favoriser le libre accès. Corédigé par Érudit et Couperin, cet article présente le modèle partenarial et le chemin parcouru pour le déployer en France, ses impacts positifs (économiques notamment) et les défis à venir pour assurer sa pérennité.
