Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Micro photosynthetic power cell (µPSC) is an electrochemical device that generates electricity by harnessing electrons and protons from the electron transport chains of photosynthesis (in the presence of light), and respiration (in the absence of light). µPSC is a potential power source for low and ultra-low power applications. The electron transport mechanisms to harness electrons are classified as direct and mediated. The mechanisms for working of µPSCs based on mediated electron transport are presented in literature. However, the impact of electrons being harnessed on the metabolic activities of the microorganisms has not been discussed in any significant detail. This work provides a theoretical analysis to address this lacunae by connecting the working mechanisms of µPSC to the processes of photosynthesis and respiration. Considering the production of one mole of glucose as a basis, the equations involved in the important steps of photosynthesis and respiration are developed. The developed equations are linked to the working mechanisms of µPSC. We propose that a µPSC can generate power, without inhibiting the micro-organism’s regular metabolic activities if excess water and carbon dioxide are available during photosynthesis and respiration in its anode chamber.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
