Abstract
Lors d'epanchement pericardique chez le chien, le contexte epidemiologique, les examens d'imagerie et l'examen cytologique du liquide d'epanchement peuvent orienter vers une origine idiopathique. Lors de recidive, la chirurgie represente la meilleure solution therapeutique. Ce diagnostic est etabli chez un labrador mâle âge de 9 ans. La realisation d'une fenetre pericardique, l'une des techniques chirurgicales indiquees dans ce cas precis, permet le retablissement de l'etat general en 12 jours et une recuperation totale en 6 mois.
