Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

To mitigate CO2 emissions and enable the conversion of CO2 to carbon-neutral fuels, the research on electrochemical reduction of CO2 (CO2RR) is gaining momentum and so is the search for an earth-abundant electrocatalysts to achieve high catalytic activity and desirable selectivity for the target fuel. Herein, we synthesized hexagonal Zn nanoplates (H-Zn-NPs) and systematically explored its shape-dependent catalytic activity for CO2RR, so as to achieve a better understanding of the relationship between the morphology and the catalytic activity of non-noble metal catalysts. The prepared H-Zn-NPs are found to efficiently promote CO2RR toward CO production with improved catalytic activity, good stability and remarkably high CO selectivity of over 85% in a broad potential range. Theoretical results reveal that the unique hexagonal Zn nanostructure offers an increased number of catalytically active sites which are active for CO2RR to CO. The H-Zn-NPs undoubtedly hold a great potential as an alternative to noble metal for highly selective CO2RR to CO.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
