Abstract
Dans le cadre du présent numéro thématique consacré à l’étude des think tanks, cet article a pour objectif d’esquisser une cartographie de la manière dont l’Institut de recherche en politiques publiques (IRPP), L’Idée fédérale et le Mowat Centre abordent le fédéralisme dans leurs travaux. Le corpus documentaire est constitué de l’ensemble des études, rapports et notes de recherche qu’ils ont produits entre 2000 et 2018. Par le truchement d’une analyse de contenu systématique, la contribution de cet article consiste à offrir une vue d’ensemble des principaux enjeux qui sont traités lorsque le fédéralisme est dans la ligne de mire des think tanks au Québec et au Canada. À contre- courant de certains préjugés véhiculés envers les think tanks, la présente étude montre que l’IRPP, L’Idée fédérale et le Mowat Centre produisent des études diversifiées sur le plan des thématiques abordées, et qu’elles ne véhiculent pas systématiquement une seule orientation idéologique.
