Abstract
Depuis 2017, les bibliothécaires de l’Université du Québec à Montréal ont lancé un vaste chantier de travail visant à actualiser et élargir la composante pédagogique de leur travail à la lumière de l’évolution de l’écosystème socionumérique de l’information d’aujourd’hui. Ce repositionnement majeur a ceci de singulier qu’il suppose un décentrement par rapport à la bibliothèque afin de considérer l’environnement plus général dans lequel elle s’insère. Les bibliothécaires se trouvent ainsi à saisir l’opportunité qu’offre l’importance désormais centrale de former à la littératie numérique dans le système d’éducation contemporain, et ce, en cherchant à favoriser l’appropriation des usages savants et populaires de la culture numérique.
