Abstract
世界的に増加の一途を辿る糖尿病において,インスリン療法は重要な治療手段であるが,低血糖の危険を有するなど,改善の余地は大きい。そこで低血糖をきたさない良好な血糖コントロールを目的として,膵臓がもつ血糖応答性のインスリン放出機構を再現した人工膵臓様デバイスが開発されている。実臨床では携帯型の機械型人工膵臓様デバイスとして,持続血糖測定(CGM)機能を追加したインスリンポンプが使用可能である。また,われわれは独自に開発した血糖応答性のゲルを用いて,エレクトロニクスフリーの人工膵臓様デバイスを開発している。本稿ではわれわれの取り組みも交えて,人工膵臓様デバイスによる血糖管理の現状と,その未来について考察したい。
