Que ce soit sur la scène socio-professionnelle, celle des média ou encore de la recherche, les questions sur la « santé au travail » sont d’actualité dans les pays occidentaux depuis les années 1990. Ce dossier de la revue Sciences de la Société se propose de la questionner scientifiquement au prisme de l’information et de la communication. Les huit articles retenus dans ce dossier sont pluridisciplinaires et démontrent, s’il en était besoin, la pluralité des objets, des projets, des techniques de recueil, des cadres d’analyse et théories susceptibles d’être retenus. Les contributions sont présentées selon deux axes. Le premier, composé de quatre textes, questionne les conditions d’exercice du travail et les modalités organisationnelles et communicationnelles susceptibles d’avoir une influence sur la santé au travail. Les quatre textes suivants explorent, dans un second axe, les actions, politiques ou mesures qui s’attachent à remédier à des situations potentiellement pathogènes ou à développer la santé au travail.
