catalaDins el Fons Verdu de la Biblioteca de Catalunya (BC), s’hi troben una vintena de composicions de Joan Cererols, contingudes en dos dels tres manuscrits que el conformen. Les copies de les obres de Cererols son fruit de la ma de Josep Segarra Colom, prevere a l’esglesia verdunina l’ultim quart del segle XVII. Les composicions del mestre montserrati foren copiades pel pare David Pujol el 1931, i el 1934 els manuscrits musicals arribaren a l’actual Biblioteca de Catalunya gracies a Higini Angles, i avui dia es troben dins el generic de Fons Verdu. Mes endavant, la majoria de les obres verdunines de Joan Cererols foren publicades pel mateix Pujol dins la col leccio Mestres de l’Escolania de Montserrat. EnglishThe Verdu holdings of the National Library of Catalonia contain around twenty compositions by Joan Cererols, which are found in two of the three manuscripts that form these holdings. The copies of Cererols’ works were done by Josep Segarra Colom, the presbyter of the church of Verdu in the last quarter of the 17th century. The compositions of Cererols, who was the master of the Montserrat music school, were recopied by Father David Pujol in 1931 and the musical manuscripts were taken by Higini Angles to today’s National Library of Catalonia in 1934. They are now found in the general section of the Verdu holdings. Subsequently, most of Joan Cererols’ works from Verdu were published by Pujol in the series Mestres de l’Escolania de Montserrat (Masters of the Montserrat Music School).
