Abstract
En lisant le plus récent roman de Naomi Fontaine, Manikanetish paru en 2017, on peut tout de suite penser à un autre roman : Ces enfants de ma vie de Gabrielle Roy, publié en 1977. Les ressemblances dépassent les simples thématiques. Cet article, qui se concentre sur les ressemblances génériques, narratologiques ou structurelles et thématiques, entre les deux oeuvres vise à montrer comment celles-ci construisent la classe (scolaire) comme un lieu d’apprentissage à tous les niveaux, à la jonction de l’intime et du social, et comme un espace de réconciliation.
