Abstract
Objective To investigate the level of self - esteem and happiness of the elderly patients.Methods Elderly patients totaled of 92 cases aged over 60 were surveyed by the questionnaire of Esteem Scale and Memorial University of Newfoundland Scale of Happiness.Results (1) The SES score of elderly patients was ((x)±s) =26.01±4.29 points,Which36 patients below the average score accounting for 39.1%.(2) The MUNSH Score of elderly patients was ((x) ± s) =23.39± 9.90 points,which 51 patients below the average score accounting for 55.4%.(3) SES and MUNSH scale correlation coefficient,r=0.535,P<0.0001.Conclusions (1) There is a positive related relations between SES and MUNSH Scale.(2) The scores of elderly patients'self-esteem and happiness show a moderate level.To improve the self- esteem and happiness of elderly patients,hospitals,families,communities,should provide comprehensive interventions and improve their quality of life.
