Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Objective To investigate the efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave on knee osteoarthritis (KOA) with middle and advanced stage in aged cases and its effect on serum levels of interleukin-6(IL-6) and interleukin-8(IL-8). Methods Eighty KOA patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from July 2017 to May 2018 were selected and randomly divided into control group and treatment group by random number table, with 40 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were orally given Glucosamine sulfate capsules (0.5 g per time, tid). On basis of control group, the treatment group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave, once a week. The two groups were treated for 6 weeks.Scores of the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities(WOMAC), the efficacy and the safety were compared between the two groups. The serum levels of IL-6 and IL-8 were detected in the two groups. Results After treatment, the WOMAC score (joint pain, joint stiffness, limited daily activity) and total WOMAC score in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in control group (P 0.05). The serum IL-6 and IL-8 levels in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusions On basis of routine therapy, extracorporeal shock wave in treating KOA with middle and advanced stage in aged cases can ameliorate the symptoms, enhance the efficacy, and without significantly increase the adverse reactions, and can reduce the levels of IL-6 and IL-8. Key words: Extracorporeal shock wave; Middle and advanced stage; Knee osteoarthritis; Safety

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
