Abstract
La chanson québécoise francophone occupe une place importante dans l'expression de la culture québécoise. Depuis longtemps, elle est vue comme le porte-étendard de la richesse et de la diversité de la culture québécoise. On salue son originalité, sa vitalité et sa créativité. Toutefois, nombreux sont ceux qui déplorent aujourd'hui le manque de diversité et l'homogénéisation de plus en plus grande de l'offre musicale sur les ondes des radios commerciales au Québec. La radio constitue pourtant le véhicule promotionnel par excellence de la chanson d'ici. Notre mémoire s'intéresse à cette problématique de l'homogénéisation du contenu musical sur les ondes de la radio québécoise. Nous voulions cerner les principales causes de cette situation qui menace, de l'avis de plusieurs, le rôle culturel majeur que jouait, jusqu'à tout récemment, la chanson dans l'affirmation de la spécificité culturelle québécoise."--Résumé abrégé par UMI.
