Abstract
Saat ini KB Hormonal masih menjadi pilihan metode kontrasepsi yang paling banyak digunakan. Metode kontrasepsi juga mempunyai berbagai macam efek samping yang ditimbulkan pada pengguna kontrasepsi hormonal yaitu ; adanya gangguan siklus menstruasi, perubahan berat badan, mual/muntah, pusing/ sakit kepala, jerawat dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek samping penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Buhu Kabupaten Gorontalo. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu pengguna kontrasepsi hormonal yang ada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Buhu. Hasil penelitian ditemukan efek samping dari penggunaan kontrasepsi pil dari 17 responden yang tertinggi yaitu sebanyak 12 responden mengalami kenaikan berat badan (70.6), pada kontrasepsi suntik dari 61 responden yang tertinggi yaitu sebanyak 42 responden mengalami kenaikan berat badan (68.9%), dan pada kontrasepsi implant dari 35 responden yang tertinggi yaitu sebanyak 25 responden mengalami kenaikan berat badan (71.4%).
