Abstract
W roku 2011 przypadła 90. rocznica urodzin prof. Iji Lazari‑Pawłowskiej, wieloletniego kierownika Katedry Etyki w Uniwersytecie Łódzkim. Prof. Ija Lazari‑Pawłowska była nie tylko badaczką kwestii etycznych i metaetycznych, myśli i dokonań Alberta Schweitzera oraz Mahatmy Gandhiego, orędowniczką idei tolerancji oraz szanowaną w europejskich kręgach akademickich reprezentantką polskiej humanistyki powojennej, która uzyskiwaną wiedzą i doświadczeniem szeroko dzieliła się z zawsze licznym gronem uczestników prowadzonych przez Nią seminariów. Była także, o czym również winniśmy pamiętać, a o czym dobitnie poświadczają Autorzy załączonych wspomnień, osobą życzliwą wobec ludzi, która nie tracąc zmysłu realizmu, nie stroniła jednakże od dyskretnego moralizatorstwa, czym też dodatkowo zjednywała sobie sympatię i szacunek swoich słuchaczy i wychowanków.
