Contexte : Les études récentes ont contribué à distinguer les comportements de désinhibition du contact social (CDCS) du concept d’attachement. Certains auteurs, en s’appuyant sur de rares études qui ont observé une corrélation entre les CDCS et l’attachement insécure chez de jeunes enfants, soutiennent qu’il pourrait tout de même exister une association entre les deux, notamment lors de la constitution des premiers liens avec la mère. À ce jour, très peu d’études ont examiné cette association chez des enfants vivant avec leur mère biologique et aucune auprès d’enfants issus d’un échantillon pédopsychiatrique. Objectif : Le but de cette étude exploratoire est d’examiner s’il existe un lien entre l’attachement mère-enfant de type insécure et la présence de CDCS chez des enfants consultant en service de pédopsychiatrie. Méthode : Vingt-neuf enfants (âgés entre 23 et 71 mois) et leur mère ont participé à l’étude. Les CDCS et l’attachement mère-enfant ont été examinés lors d’une procédure de séparations et de réunions avec la présence d’une étrangère. Résultats : Plus les scores de CDCS sont élevés chez les enfants, plus leurs comportements d’attachement sont de type désorganisé/contrôlant et moins ils présentent des comportements d’attachement de type sécure. Conclusion : Ces résultats sont en accord avec ceux d’études antérieures qui avaient montré l’existence d’un lien significatif entre l’attachement mère-enfant de type insécure et la présence de CDCS chez de jeunes enfants vivant dans des milieux à risque psychosocial élevé.
