Abstract
Aim: The Divriği Great Mosque and Hospital represents the oldest known in Anatolia with its stone vault typologies. The most visible geometric feature of these vaults is their insistence on the groins; in some cases, it multiplies surprisingly for each quarter of the vault till it reaches 6 groins. The vault, which has the highest number of groins (six groins), covers the main iwan of the Divriği Hospital. Especially, the straight spiral segment located at the center of the uneven octagon, its structure which separates it from the others and requires a deeper knowledge of geometry, proves that it is designed as a cover of a special space. The aim of this study is to investigate the geometric structure of the main vault of the Divriği Hospital. Method: A small model of the vault had been constructed based on the hypothesis adopted in the Madrid “Taller de Construcción Gótica” (Gothic Building Workshop) by making the constructive procedural assumptions possible. Results: We have confronted one of the vaults of 13th century Anatolia, on the upper floor of the same building, the other one in Aksaray Sultan Khan and the last one in Sivas Buruciye Madrasa. The fact that two of the four samples were found in the Divriği Hospital, confirms its exceptional character as in its whole structure. Conclusion: If the hypothesis developed during the reconstruction experience in Madrid is correct, the spiral-centered six-groined vault of the Divriği Great Mosque and Hospital may be considered to lead to other spiral vaults which have been built in the same century.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
