Abstract
Dans cette article, l’auteur explore les racines du don maternel dans le contexte de porter et transporter les bebes. Ce geste donne protection, confort, des chances d’apprendre, la mobilite, temoigne d’un amour inconditionnel et un acces a la vie par l’allaitement. Ce geste permet a l’enfant de dependre des autres, a grandir, a developper une vision du monde Anishinaabeg. L’auteur montre que cette experience de tenir un bebe est a la base des connections qui donnent un sens a la vie, qui les connecte a l’adulte Anishinaabeg, a sa famille, sa communaute et ses territoires.
