Abstract
Naissance d'un nouveau regroupement pour une coopération professionnelle accrue au Québec. Depuis plusieurs décennies, les associations et regroupements de professionnels de l’information du Québec ont tenté de créer une fédération des associations du milieu documentaire. Cette entité nouvellement créée souhaite rassembler les principaux acteurs du milieu documentaire tout en éliminant un palier de concurrence entre les associations, souhaitant ainsi dynamiser la solidarité professionnelle de tous les intervenants du milieu. L'article relate les démarches de création jusqu'à la présentation des objectifs de la Fédération des milieux documentaires qui est née officiellement en 2018.
