Hormis nos origines corréziennes, Joël Thomas et moi-même sommes des universitaires très différents. Il est latiniste et je suis géopolitiste, sa culture classique est considérable et je me contente de l’ordonnancement du monde contemporain, il conduit sa voiture comme un pilote de formule 1 et je marche avec une canne… Cependant, nous sommes souvent rêveurs et, tandis qu’il confie sa plume à l’imaginaire, voire à l’ésotérisme, je trempe la mienne dans l’élixir touristique des mers tropicales...
