Rythme et rimes dans la poésie en vers d’Arthur Rimbaud : deux cas d’étude

Abstract
Cet article propose une analyse de traduction comparée de deux poèmes d’Arthur Rimbaud : « Sensation » et « Vénus Anadyomène », datés de 1870. Les traductions italiennes considérées seront celles d’Ivos Margoni (Feltrinelli, 1964), de Gian Piero Bona (Einaudi, 1973) et la mienne, qui paraîtra en 2017 aux éditions Marsilio. En m’appuyant sur les études sur le rythme d’Henri Meschonnic, ainsi que sur ses propositions pour une poétique de la traduction, j’essaie de circonscrire des exemples d’application pratique de ses théories. Les objets d’étude abordés seront notamment : la conservation du rythme lorsqu’il devient impossible de respecter la métrique du texte de départ ; l’opportunité de garder ou non les rimes, la ponctuation, la division en vers et l’ordre des mots du texte français ; l’élimination occasionnelle de mots fonctionnels dans le texte d’arrivée ; les choix lexicaux en regard du respect des intentions de l’auteur.
