Dialogue à l’initiative d’Agnès Daval sur ce que représentent pour Catherine Mosbach les fondamentaux du paysage. Le projet de paysage interroge les sciences autant que l’imaginaire par une expérimentation de terrain sondée par le dessin. Ils sont ici illustrés à travers les projets majeurs du parc archéologique à Solutré, du jardin botanique de Bordeaux, du musée parc du Louvre-Lens et de Phase Shifts Park de Taichung à Taiwan en cours de chantier. Interpellée par la singularité d’un programme, d’un terrain et le cadre de l’exercice de sa profession d’architecte-paysagiste, Catherine Mosbach cultive un appétit pour les métamorphoses autrement plus vastes que ce qui se laisse approcher par le dessin, première pierre d’un édifice paysage. Traits, volumes, maquettes, expériences de terrain trouvent leurs gisements dans l’expérience sensible et imaginaire. La métamorphose d’une écriture incarnée favorise les mues et reformule les codes de la représentation et des usages récréatifs. Une vision du monde et du projet de paysage se dévoile, transversale et riche de possibles, déployée en vue de capter des phénomènes et de les enregistrer sans garde-fou, par-delà les conventions pour des devenirs impromptus.
