Abstract
Jules Verne never hid his preference for cold countries. The Extraordinary Voyages often take us northward (Scotland, Scandinavia, Canada) and even as far as the poles, at the time when they remained unexplored. The aim of this article is to examine how the well-known author looked at the hyperborean regions. Résumé Jules Verne n’a jamais caché sa prédilection pour les pays froids. Les Voyages extraordinaires nous entraînent souvent vers le Nord (Écosse, Scandinavie, Canada) et même jusqu’aux pôles, à une époque où ils demeuraient inviolés.
